Welcome to the Save A Buddy Fund! We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit and our sole purpose is to offer spay-neuter assistance for dogs and puppies. Spaying and neutering your pet can be the single best decision you make for his or her long term welfare! Getting your pet spayed or neutered can:
-greatly reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized every year -reduce unruly male behavior and eliminate female heat cycles and associated behavior -reduce your pet’s risk of getting cancer and other ailments -save on the cost of pet care, especially costs related to caring for puppies
Would you be surprised to learn that just in the United States an estimated 70,000 puppies and kittens are born each day while an estimated 6-8 million homeless animals enter shelters each year? Barely half of these shelter animals are adopted, while tragically, the rest are euthanized. Preventing more unwanted puppies and kittens from being born is the only answer to our world’s severe pet overpopulation problem. Every pet that is spayed or neutered results in literally thousands of lives saved.
We believe every pet owner needs access to affordable spay and neuter programs for their pets! Currently we are working with dog owners in the following counties: Manistee, Lake, Osceola and Wexford. Our two spay-neuter programs are the “Pit Stop Program”, which is offered in Manistee, Lake, Osceola and Wexford counties and the “Canine Spay Neuter Assistance Program (K9-SNAP)”, which is currently offered in Manistee County only due to limited funding.
Please explore our website and learn about our spay-neuter programs. Also, please consider sharing our information with other dog and puppy owners. Together we can save lives of our canine companions! Save a Buddy! Spay and Neuter!
